The SSND-MDCUBE is a 9-segment sound with a squared, cubed profile rather than rounded segments — each cube-shaped section steps up in size with a shallow valley between them, for a distinct geometric feel as it moves through each stage. Available solid or open-core, with the open-core version allowing fluid drainage during extended wear.

Choosing your silicone firmness
Bob recommends #00-50 (Soft) as the primary choice — with segments stepping all the way up to 24mm, the softer density gives crucial compressibility to ease placement pressure at each stage.
For firmer column strength and more distinct feedback from the cubed edges, #10 (Medium) is also available. One customer reported that combining the segmented shape with a firmer silicone (#18) made it easy to push the piece to a chosen section and have it stay in place.
Color options
#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent silicone.
#00-20, #00-50, and #10 use a translucent white base and can be mixed with our standard colors.
