The SPD 1.1" is the smallest in this series, built for first-time users with a long, gentle taper and a slim final diameter.

How it works

The 0.5" tip widens gradually over the 3.5" taper to a 1.15" maximum diameter, then narrows into a 1.75" retention valley that tapers slightly from 0.625" to 0.75" — this lets the surrounding muscle settle in and hold the piece. A 2.0" flange at the base acts as an external stop.

Choosing your firmness

Bob recommends #10 (Medium) for this size, giving it enough structure to guide placement while staying easy to flex.

Color options

#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent.
#00-50 and #10 are translucent white base materials and can be mixed with standard colors.
