Beginner Sounds
The urethra is incredibly sensitive. Always start with the smallest diameter available to allow the body time to adjust without any trauma. If you encounter resistance, stop immediately. Pushing through resistance can cause micro-tears or injury. Sounding should never be painful; if it hurts, you are going too fast or using a size that is too large.
Familiarize yourself with the depth of the urethra. Using a piece that is too long or trying to push it too deep can cause unnecessary discomfort or risk to the bladder. Ensure both the piece and your hands are thoroughly cleaned with a mild, antibacterial soap before and after every use. Using a dedicated cleaning solution for silicone products is even better to maintain the material's surface integrity.
It is common to experience a very mild "tingling" sensation. However, if you experience sharp pain, bleeding, or difficulty urinating afterward, seek medical attention immediately.
Below, I have selected some of our smallest diameter pieces, which are the best for a beginner to start with, everyone's body is different, but most men could start with the 5.5mm, or even better the 6mm Rod, because it can be made as a shorter item.
