Recommended for open bore options

The CSRE is a silicone adapter designed to fit around a standard plastic colonic speculum.

The adapter provides a larger, softer outer profile around the rigid speculum. The standard version has a 7/8" (22.3 mm) center bore for the speculum. It can also be made as a solid, non-bored piece.

Details

  • Maximum diameter: 1.5" (38.1 mm)
  • Retention valley: 1.28" (32.5 mm)
  • Bore diameter: 7/8" (22.3 mm)
  • Overall length: 5.9" (149.9 mm)
  • Insertable length to retention valley: 4.75" (120.7 mm)
  • Configuration: Bored or solid

How it works

The CSRE fits over a standard plastic speculum and adds a silicone outer surface.

The body increases to approximately 1.5" at its largest diameter before narrowing to the 1.28" retention valley. The valley provides the transition between the larger outer section and the base of the adapter.

The standard version has a 7/8" center bore. A solid version is also available for applications where a bore isn't needed.

Choosing your silicone firmness

For use with a rigid plastic speculum, Bob recommends #10 (Medium) as the standard choice. It provides more structure around the speculum while still being flexible silicone.

#00-50 (Soft) is also available if you prefer a softer, more flexible adapter.

If you're unsure which firmness to choose, we recommend ordering our silicone firmness samples first.

Color options

#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent.

#00-50 and #10 are translucent white base materials and can be mixed with standard colors.

Please note

The CSRE is designed to be used with a compatible plastic speculum. Make sure the speculum and adapter are properly fitted together before use.

Everyone's anatomy is different, and we cannot guarantee that a particular size or configuration will be suitable for everyone.

Use appropriate lubrication, never force the product, and stop if you experience pain or significant discomfort. Inspect the silicone and the speculum before each use and do not use either if damaged.
