SSND-MGCWAND13
Recommended for open bore options
The SSND-MGCWAND13 is a 9.5" sound with a polished 13mm tip, an 11mm shaft, and a pronounced 21mm oval expansion partway down its length, available solid or open-core for fluid drainage during extended wear.
Details
- Overall length: 9.5" (241 mm)
- Entry tip: 13.0 mm (39.0 Fr)
- Shaft: 11.0 mm (33.0 Fr), 4" long
- Oval expansion peak: 21.0 mm (63.0 Fr), 2" long
- Retention valley: 16.0 mm (48.0 Fr), 2" long
- Safety base flange: 24.0 mm (72.0 Fr)
How it works
The 13mm tip tapers back to an 11mm shaft that runs about 4" for a gentle, controlled entry. The shaft then steps up to a 21mm oval expansion over a 2" stretch, before narrowing into a 16mm valley for another 2" — this lets the surrounding tissue relax and hold the piece in place ahead of the 24mm base flange.
Choosing your silicone firmness
Bob recommends #00-50 (Soft) as the primary choice — with the oval expansion stepping up to 21mm, the softer density gives crucial compressibility to ease placement pressure.
For firmer column strength and more tactile presence during insertion, #10 (Medium) is also available.
Color options
#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent silicone.
#00-20, #00-50, and #10 use a translucent white base and can be mixed with our standard colors.
Please note
At a 21mm maximum diameter, this is an advanced piece intended for experienced users.
Use appropriate lubrication and never force insertion. Stop immediately if you experience pain, bleeding, or significant discomfort. Inspect the sound before each use and do not use it if damaged.
