SSND-SMTPR-14 Short
Recommended for open bore options
The SSND-SMTPR-14 Short is a compact version of our SMTPR taper line — a continuous, dual-stage expansion in a shorter 4.5" insertable length, good for stepping up to a larger diameter without sudden jumps in size.
Details
- Total length: 5.25"
- Insertable depth: 4.5" (114 mm)
- Entry tip: 7.0 mm (21 Fr)
- First taper stage: 7–12 mm over the first 1.5"
- Second taper stage: 12–14 mm (42 Fr) over the remaining 3.75"
- Retention valley: 8.0 mm (24 Fr)
- Base: 17.0mm flared safety flange
How it works
The 7mm tip widens to 12mm over the first 1.5", then continues a slower climb to a 14mm maximum diameter across the remaining shaft. Right behind the peak, the shaft narrows into an 8mm retention valley, helping the piece lock in place just ahead of the flange.
Choosing your silicone firmness
Bob recommends #00-50 (Soft) as the primary choice — with a continuous 14mm taper over a 4.5" length, it gives comfortable, cushioned flexibility for users progressing to a larger size.
Color options
#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent silicone.
#00-20, #00-50, and #10 use a translucent white base and can be mixed with our standard colors.
Please note
This is an intermediate piece — the shorter length is manageable, but the 14mm maximum diameter is a meaningful step up.
Use appropriate lubrication and never force insertion. Stop immediately if you experience pain, bleeding, or significant discomfort. Inspect the sound before each use and do not use it if damaged.
