SSND-Tri Sided Ripple
Recommended for open bore options
The SSND-Tri Sided Ripple is an 8" sound with a distinct three-sided cross-section — instead of a round profile, it has a tri-sided geometry that adds multidirectional contact as it moves through a series of long, cascading wave swells and valleys.

Ripple table
| Segment | Peak diameter | Valley |
|---|---|---|
| Ripple 1 | 14.3 mm (43.0 Fr) | 12.0 mm (36.0 Fr) |
| Ripple 2 | 13.5 mm (40.5 Fr) | 12.7 mm (38.0 Fr) |
| Ripple 3 | 14.0 mm (42.0 Fr) | 12.4 mm (37.0 Fr) |
| Ripple 4 | 14.4 mm (43.0 Fr) | 11.75 mm (35.0 Fr) |
How it works
The rounded 7mm tip guides in gently, then the tri-sided profile expands through four ripple swells (peaking between 13.5mm and 14.4mm), each dropping into a slightly narrower valley in between — the flat, three-sided edges give more varied tactile contact along the way than a round shaft would. Past the final ripple, the shaft narrows into the 11.75mm retention valley and a 10.5mm tapered collar, seating securely ahead of the flared base.
Choosing your silicone firmness
Bob recommends #10 (Medium) as the primary choice — across a 7.25" insertable length with a tri-sided profile, it balances internal flexibility with the column strength needed for smooth navigation.
Color options
#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent.
#00-20, #00-50, and #10 base colors are translucent white and can be mixed with any standard color.
Please note
This is an intermediate piece, given the geometric profile and the 14.4mm peak diameter.
Use appropriate lubrication and never force insertion. Stop immediately if you experience pain, bleeding, or significant discomfort. Inspect the sound before each use and do not use it if damaged.
