SSND-MD 6-14
Recommended for open bore options
One of our first pieces, the SSND-MD 6-14 remains a great beginner stretcher, with eight-segment stepped sound with closely spaced sizes, each segment only steps up a fraction of a millimeter from the last, so progression feels smooth and gradual rather than abrupt.

Choosing your silicone firmness
Bob recommends #10 (Medium) — it keeps the closely spaced segments a bit more rigid, so the sound goes in easily without bowing and each ridge sends clear tactile feedback as it clears a muscle layer.
For long-term, low-fatigue retention wear, #00-50 (Soft) is also available — it compresses slightly on entry, then exerts continuous, gentle outward pressure.
Color options
#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent silicone.
#00-20, #00-50, and #10 use a translucent white base and can be mixed with our standard colors.
Please note
This is a beginner-friendly piece, well suited to a gradual, predictable path toward larger sizes over time.
Use appropriate lubrication and never force insertion. Stop immediately if you experience pain, bleeding, or significant discomfort. Inspect the sound before each use and do not use it if damaged.
