The SSND-SHRTCATH3 6 10 is an anatomically contoured silicone short catheter sounding rod engineered for comfortable retention placement. Developed for incontinence management and urethral expansion, this 3" sound incorporates a gradual 6mm to 8mm tapered lead shaft that expands into a 10mm retention bulb and a 7mm seating valley. Classified as a Beginner urethral sound based on its 10mm (30 Fr) peak diameter, it provides a stable anchor profile that secures comfortably inside the sphincter with minimal bulk.

Anatomical Sizing & Mechanics

Entry Tip: Features a slim 6mm (18 Fr) polished entry tip designed to ease past the meatus with minimal friction.
Shaft Progression: Tapers smoothly over the main shaft from 6mm up to 8mm (24Fr) directly preceding the retention zone.
