How it works

The rounded 0.87" tip eases past the initial muscle, then the shaft narrows to a slim 0.43" section to keep it comfortable. It swells again to a 0.53" retention bulb before settling into a short base valley, right against the flat 1.00" base flange.

Choosing your firmness

Bob recommends #10 (Medium) or #18 (Firm) for this piece — both give good column strength during placement.

#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent.
#00-50 and #10 are translucent white base materials and can be mixed with standard colors.
