The SPD 2.5" is a shorter, large-diameter piece — the tapered head reaches its full width faster than the 2.0", before narrowing to a shaft and base flange.

How it works

The tapered head reaches its 2.5" maximum diameter over 4.5", then narrows to a 1⅛" shaft for 1.5" before reaching the 2.0" base flange, which acts as the external stop.

Choosing your firmness

Bob recommends #00-50 (Soft) for this size — it lets the large tapered head flex and compress more easily on entry. #10 (Medium) is also available if you want more structure.

Color options

#18 and #30 are available in pure translucent.
#00-50 and #10 are translucent white base materials and can be mixed with standard colors.
